Hi to all our wonderful Saltwater friends,
We hope that you all had a great Christmas and new year. We are excited about the upcoming Saltwater events this year and being able to bring people together with each festival. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved so far especially our sponsor partners who have contributed to the event, each in their own way. We are extremely grateful for all the time and effort or financial support you have so generously given. We know that each person we come into contact with helps us in some way, and we are very thankful for that. We know that each of you play an important part in SWF, and together, we will effectively be able to bring people together through The Saltwater Festival.
This is the first of the SWF newsletters. We will endeavour to keep you updated monthly, as well as some additional information about all the areas that we will be bringing together at the events; Ocean, Music, Sport, Food, Family and Friends. So keep an eye out for the newsletters, we will try cover all aspects, but if we have forgotten something, please feel free to contact us and let us know.
Some specifics that you have all probably been wondering about: the first event at Salt in Kingscliff will be held on the 1st of May 2010. This will continue to be a two day event as planned. Sporting events will be starting at 8am in the morning, with music and kids activities running throughout the day and everyone coming together in the evening. The Sunday will be more of the same with Finals being run and live music etc. Till mid afternoon. We will be posting all sporting categories and registration forms on the website www.thesaltwaterfestival.com shortly, which can be downloaded.
The second event to be held at the Spit on the Gold Coast, will be (mid) October 2010. This event will be very much the same core philosophy of bringing people together, but just bringing a whole lot more people together!
