Jay Thompson, or Bottle as he’s nicknamed, is the newest addition to the Reef team. He's is currently battling it out on the 2008 WCT with fellow team rider Ben Bourgeois.

Jay hales from the infamous Burleigh Heads point break in Queensland, Australia. Growing up on the famous right point break has made Bottle lethal on his forehand. Bottle has also become a fierce competitor as the heavy local crowd at Burleigh Heads had groomed him to fight for his waves and make the ones he gets count.

When he’s not on tour Jay can be found at home surfing at his home break of Burleigh Heads or indulging in his mum’s home cooking.
